My heeeaaaaadddd huuuurrrrrrtsssss...

Was that a whiny enough title?

I hope so.

Seriously. I came home from the race last night and took a three hour nap. Then I was up for a few hours eating dinner and watching the end of the Ray Charles movie. I slept through the night powered by night-time medicine and after shoveling down some great French Toast made by hubby, I went back to sleep. I didn't actually make it out of my bed until 4 pm. And now that I'm out, I regret getting out.

As long as I'm sideways laying down I feel ok -- just stuffed up. As soon as I get vertical though... OUCH. *(&^%%)@)@^^)#!!! My head seriously hurts. A headache of biblical proportions if you ask me.

This sucks.

A P.S SO IMPORTANT IT DESERVES CAPITAL LETTERS: CONGRATULATIONS TO HUBBY ON GETTING 3RD PLACE IN THE TIME TRIAL YESTERDAY! CHRIS BEAT A HUGE NUMBER OF OTHER MEN ON A BIKE THAT IS OLDER THAN MOST OF THEIR CYCLING CAREERS. HE NEVER SEIZES TO AMAZE ME. 2008 LOOKS TO BE AN AMAZING YEAR FOR HIM. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can imagine. Not what you want to hear, but doing a time trial when you're sick is about the worst thing you can do. You're taking your body to the absolute limit when it needs that energy just to battle the sickness. Then afterwards, energy also has to go to recovery, and sickness, and it's an awful battle btwn the two. Not that I haven't made that wrong choice in the past, too... ;-)

Hope you feel better soon! Have you ever tried taking those "Airborne" vitamin tablets? I find they work great. They're not cheap, but you'll likely find yourself getting sick a lot less. And they were invented by a school teacher, because she was getting sick all the time!
