Who knew I had the ability to (sorta) meet a goal?

Especially one made out of anger.

Some explanation:

Last year at this time I was dealing with a super crappy situation at my school where, after getting nothing but praise from the higher ups, was faced (along with many others) with a non-renewed contract and a district that decided I was no longer a good candidate to teach in the ghetto.

I was upset.

To say the least.

I remember that in my ticked off rambling I, more than a few times, made the claim that I'd find a better job, be extremely happy, and win teacher of the year as a little F-U to the district.

Yesterday I went into work and found out I was nominated (wasn't alone in being nominated from my school and didn't win, but that's ok because I still got a certificate and that's all that really matters) for Mile High Teacher of the Year.

That's a good enough FU for me :D

I'm satisfied.

That is so awesome, Congrats Marni! There is something about a pissed off Marni... I am glad the world doesnt do it too often, but knowing life, I am not suprised that it does sometimes. But I am very glad that it vindicates her too.

WELL DONE!! That's huge, it's pretty hard to understand just how much effort, and consistently, that must require.
